Message from Mayor Chris Carrier

As Mayor of the Town of Collingwood I am delighted to welcome you to the 16th Annual Collingwood Elvis Festival, “Welcome Home Elvis”, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Elvis’ return from the US Army, being held July 22rd to July 25th.

The organizers and many volunteers of the Elvis Festival are continuing the tradition of ensuring this year’s Festival will be the very best featuring our world renowned tribute artist competition, the Collingwood Elvis Festival Street Party, parade, midway, and more than two dozen professional Vegas style shows.

These four days of unparalleled entertainment coupled with the area’s exceptional
landscape, extensive trails, fine dining, cultural heritage and great people will bring you
back to Collingwood time and time again.

On behalf of the Members of Council, I thank all those involved with the endless hours,
dedication, and unwavering efforts devoted into organizing the World’s Largest Elvis
Festival. Congratulations!!

Message from Hon. Helena Guergis, M.P. Simcoe-Grey

As the Member of Parliament for Simcoe-Grey, I extend a warm welcome to Collingwood’s 16th Annual Sirius Satellite Radio Elvis Festival - `Welcome Home Elvis.`

For 16 years competitors and their families have been travelling far and wide to participate in this world renowned Elvis festival. As one of the area’s premier events, this festival offers more than two dozen Vegasstyle shows starring the industry’s best Elvis Tribute Artists, a three-day competition, youth activities, a street party, vendors, parade and much more.

While you are in the area please take some time to visit the many tourist attractions this
pristine four season tourist destination has to offer.

I thank the many volunteers, participants, vendors and organizing staff for their hard
work and dedication in making this festival a success year after year.

This festival has quickly become one of Ontario’s premier summer attractions drawing thousands of people to our area. Local residents and visitors will be treated to a wide variety of Elvis-related events geared towards families, the young, and the young at heart.

On behalf of the County of Simcoe and our 16 member municipalities, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all attendees and performers of the 2010 Collingwood Elvis Festival.

I would like to thank the many community volunteers and festival organizers who have worked so hard to make this event such a success.

I hope you all have a wonderful time in the beautiful Town of Collingwood and also take the opportunity to explore the many wonderful places and experiences that the County is home to. As the 4th most popular tourism destination in Ontario, the County offers wonderful beaches, resorts, restaurants and golf courses for our guests to enjoy.
